Freedarich & Stiggsen
A tale of two. Berlin: Freedarich & Stiggsen (Friedrich Greiling and Steph Sandeck) linked arms, and talent, to create what has come to be a cultesque Jibbie (translate "Jibbie" into anything greatly positive if you would like an idea of what that may be) network.
Their first project as FREEDARICH & STIGGSEN on Freizeitglauben/Neuton in june 2006 was the kick-off that lead to a killer Jibbie summer-season.
Spacy dub doses for the hearts and for the clubs, F&S's music travels above techno styles, with a skillful emphasis on deep sound and melody. One Berlin super-hot act that has yet only started its rise, Freedarich and Stiggsen are now dropping a new infectiously melodic monster named REDLIGHTS on BOR's MICROSCAPES Vol.1 compilation... |

AUTOTUNE
Autotune are Adel and Toni. These two berlin-headz have joined their force in 1999 to push the world of glamour clubs into a new decade of funk‘n’house. Both guys come from a straight Berlin clubbing background and started their own first musical works in the mid’90.
After their experienced thousand of hardcore nightlife-journies through Berlin’s legendary clubnights at E-werk, Planet, Tresor etc. both feld that ‘is time to get themselves organised and living as an artist became reality them. Both had several releases under various names but since the birth of Autotune they are getting much more recognization all over the scene !
Autotune are one of the much sought-after Live-acts in Germany and had played on all big raves and important clubs in the last five years. They also played at the TOKIO based Wire-Festival. Their sound can be described somewhere between really fresh electro, straight Techno and the perfect understanding of FUNK. After releases on Muller recand Bpitch ctrl Berlin Dj Legend Woody picked them for his very successful Fumakilla label. On Fumakilla Autotune released 4EP’S ( Blow Funk E.P, Player Stuff E.P , Psycho Revolution E.P) that became same kind of clubhits all over the European clubscene. Especially the track keep it wrong is heard on dancefloors everywhere, which may also be a result of the cool&nasty vocal snippets, but surely comes from the fact that it’s a high-quality Techno-Electro tune , something Autotune has as its trademark .

Francisco Decono
Francisco Decono, Composer, guitar player, producer and DJ from Argentina was into rock and blues when he picked his first guitar at the age 12 to join a handful of the ever typical school bands. A self taught computer user, he got on to composition with his first sequencing tools and progressively fell into sound synthesis and electronic sound design.
House music finally got hold of Francisco at the turn of the century and it was on the deep side that he first leaned before evolving to a subtly elaborated stripped-down tech house sound, disregarding all the unnecessary to focus on underlining harmonies and chord work, which he brilliantly demonstrates in his first Buena Onda release "Iteraciones Naturales" on MICROSCAPES Vol.I. In his search for an essence of musical expression, he has crossed paths with many a great musician of the Argentinean scene of electronic music, jazz and funk alike. Now it's great time for Francisco's music to take a leap across the oceans and to travel the world... Here it is, Enjoy ! |

JUNO6
Stefan Schultz a.k.a. Juno6 did not choose his artist name on the basis of a well-known analog synth, instead the explanation is even more simple: It's the day of his birth, June 6th.
Juno6 bought his first synthesizer - a Roland JP8000 - in 1998. Fascinated by its easy handling and the the great sound it delivered, Stefan decided to set up a studio at home. Having to cope with computers at his job and study all the time, Juno6 trys to avoid them when making music. His live setup for example is made up just by two synths, a mixer and a microphone. Keeping himself limited to this rather small setup, Stefan has built himself an impressively unique sound - no matter which genres he touches. With his two featured tracks on "Microscapes Vol.1", Stefan delivers something unique indeed, in a twisted melodic techno style that blooms from some psychic garden... It's organic ! |

RAFAEL GÒMEZ
Before gracing Buena Onda with a couple of absolutely fabulous tracks on the label's first compilation, "MICROSCAPES Vol.1", Rafael has commited several mindblowing 12-inch releases on some of Cologne's finest labels, including the now legendary "Resurrect" 3-track single on Substatic rec. and a couple of milestones on Treibstoff ("All system are go", and "Alienbar"), back in the beginning of this century...
After a while of exploring different ways and going totally underground although he has never ceased to mature and finetune his instantly recognizable killer touch, we are immensely proud that Rafael chose to deliver the long-awaited sequel to these early Cologne ace shots on Buena Onda.
In Rafael's own words, he simply started making music when he was 15 years old, with a commodore 64 and a great forgotten program by the name of "Octalyzer"and also played bass guitar in a rockband.
Later on moving to Cologne where he looked for a new band to play his bass with, he instead ended up buying a drum-machine to make beats and support his bass play. Quickly getting hooked on programming beats, he added a sampler, some synths and "tried to get deeper into electronic music". Read these words, listen to Rafael's irresistibly groovy and soulful tunes, and judge for yourself if he succeded in doing so. Need we tell you , we believe he damn well did, and more than that !
