Railroad trip is a trippy journey in the underground tunnel of deephouse music. The kick threatens to slip off the rails and bring you far away, the drums sound good, the heavier percussion, particularly congas make it roll more, vocals snippet changes shape in the air as echo and filtering are applied, minor-key piano chords and twinkling synthesizers that blow the thing sky-high.
French producer ANDRADE’s “RailRoad trip” remix fits right, a bit tougher with dominant chords, the hi-hats run like hell, the track is made for a very specific context in mind, a different trip, something which must be played loud, with the right sound system, the groove is fat, just ready to return the Macadam at the Berghain early in the morning. This French guy is the newcomer talent of 2010 on the international underground scene, playlisted by all the famous deejays with outstanding & amazing tracks, .
Caribbean bay, the B’s side track , it is not far in the basement from the main title, but mainly in the form, with percussions elements reverbs, catchy loops, including serious pad, heavy nice bassline riff, snippet vocals in a way that brings clammy body heat..
NTFO’s, a Romanian duo remix Caribbean‘s track and turning our attention towards the bassline for a stomping house excursion across the track’s duration without the need for any elements other than a few subtle samples. The simpler the thing is, the harder is gets to realise, an old French singer said !
WONGI ’s remix it’s just… the bonus track !
